WORK OPPORTUNITIES IN FRANCE:
Working In France During Your Studies:
  • Study in France for Indian students entitles them to work part time for up to 20 hours a week, off campus.
  • In France there is a guaranteed minimum salary which is € 9.61 gross per hour.

Post Study Work Permit France – Since 2015, Indian students who have completed their post-graduate or higher degrees in France can apply for a full-time post-study work visa, allowing them to stay and work in the country for a duration of 2 years after the completion of their course.

Students who have earned at least a Master's Degree or the equivalent may apply for a one-time (non-renewable) temporary residency authorization (APS, autorisation provisoire de séjour) which is valid for 12 months beyond the date of expiration of the student's residency permit. At the end of your studies, you can also be recruited by a company even if you are not an EU national. Upon completion of education in France for Indian students, if they aim to come back to India and start their own career here, then their French degree will allow them to avail a circulation visa to France and Europe for 5 years, which will be extended throughout their life.

Visa Documents

You should provide two sets of application photocopies containing the following documents:

  • Long stay application form for the duration of more than 90 days

  • Letter of registration from the academic Institution
  • Cover letter explaining the study project and a CV/Resume
  • Proof of funds - tuition fees + a minimum of 615 Euros/month, for the complete academic term
  • Proof of medical insurance with coverage valid in France
  • Copy of your round-trip airline ticket (if you are studying for six months or less) or a one-way ticket if you are studying in France for more than six months)
  • OFII form (Office Francais de Immigration et de Integration)
  • Proof of residency in France such as a lease, electricity bill, title of property, etc. for a minimum of three months or a hotel reservation
